Can’t Argue About Safety
Head injuries are the most common cause of death among both skiers and snowboarders alike.A write up I read about by The Brain Injury Association of Canada.
A hard knock to the head may lead to a concussion, which may lead to learning disabilities, along with behavioral and emotional problems. Head injuries can even be fatal.
Most winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, at speeds of 35 to 45 KPH have the potential to create an impact that will most certainly result in a serious head injuries. The greater the speed the greater the impact.Skii helmets must withstand great impact.Continually check for cracks, dents, broken or frayed straps, especially before your ski trips.
