Can I use men’s snowboard gear even if I am a girl?
To start off with, I have size 11 feet which makes finding women’s boots extremely difficult. Keeping that in mind, most of the women’s bindings that come big enough are really ugly. And about the board, I didn’t know if it was possible for a girl to ride a men’s board.
Of course you can use men’s gear if you want.
Its really a matter of do the boots fit, and is the length, shape and flex of the board suited to your height, weight, strength and ability.
Women’s gear is aimed more at that sex’s averages of height, weight and strength, but that does not mean that you have to use it… and if you fit men’s gear better then that is what you should use. Also sometimes the only differences are cosmetic such as graphics/color differences.
Another possibility if you are small and light would be to use higher end junior gear.
