Skiing can be fun and safe.

Kids might even want to put stickers and fun stuff on their helmuts. If it will encourage them to wear the helmut ,go for it. It is a good thing to explain the importance of wearing the helmet. Try and use some of their ski idols as an example.

Go to the effort of measuring a child’s head size with a tape measure.Get a pen and paper.Measure the head by holding the measuring tape around the head,above the ears and just above the eyebrows.Note the measurement. Do the same for each child.Make a game of it.I made jokes like “ just measuring this dinosaurs head before going into battle and skiing with his helmut on..”  and” Oh this princess has to have her pretty brow measured so that her tiara..and ski helmut will fit equally as well…”
